Do you believe me if I say legwear changed my life? You probably won’t, but you really should because the naked truth is that I got a pair of Item m6 socks as a Christmas gift and, as I wore them, it didn’t look like my ankles had been in chains all day long.
I had never heard before of this German brand launched in 2011 by Medi Group, a company based in Bayreuth (Saxonia region) which from 1951 has been producing compression stockings, adaptive compression aids and shoe insoles. Not precisely a fashion background, but definitely a solid know-how for creating tights & socks that won’t kill you while you have them on.
I’m pretty sure I’m not the only woman procrastinating a pit stop to the restrooms in winter time, because of very annoying hosiery. I can easily recall the suspicious glimpses I caught from beauticians or physiotherapists looking at my legs almost suffocated by elastic bands. Not to mention the awkward feeling of trying to get seductively undressed, only to find out that my belly had an unrequested mark due to pantyhose thick stitches.
The reason why tonight I’m packing my luggage with a fair amount of Item m6 stuff for my trip to Florence for the 93rd edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo is simple: they make me feel good plus they look great. I’ve been told it’s because they only use high performance yarns, combined with their product expertise and with an accurate style research. On their website you can learn all the technical information about that, but I suggest you to get one of their products and try it. If you’re a tramp like me (and the Boss, see Born to Run), you won’t care much about the particles of ceramic crystals melted into the yarn to stimulate the breakdown of fat cells. You will just use them and enjoy the experience. And in case you wonder wether I’ve been paid to write these lines, the answer is no. I’m only lucky to have a nice friend giving me a lovely gift.
